After completing my college course I went on to work for Bannof Buffet, based in Berne, Switzerland. My main duties involved making confectionary items such as pettit fours, unique gateauxs, pastry items and Continental breads. One of our regular customers was the Orient Express where our contract involved replenishing the 1st class bread and confectionary items.
Over the last 20 years I have worked in all areas of the food industry and gained valuable experience, but my love is making and decorating cakes and have always made cakes for family and friends. I now live in Thornton and make cakes for all of Fylde area, Lytham,Blackpool and Preston. I have recently had a workshop built at the back of my property.
I feel now is the time to follow my dreams and that is to pursue what I enjoy doing the most, and that is making cakes. I have produced a gallery of some of the cakes I have made but if you think of a cake which is not there then contact me and I would be more than happy to make a cake that is just for you.
I make it a priority to keep up with all legislation in respect to health and hygiene and have also attended several confectionary courses. Also, in order to keep up with the latest traditions and methods within the cake industry I have recently returned to my local college and learnt the art of Chocolatering from making chocolate moulds and lollies to producing handmade chocolates and chocolate wedding cakes.
